I'm Jessica K., the breeder behind House of Slinkys located in Crosby, TX. We strive to produce beautiful dachshund puppies with sweet family temperaments with excellent health. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament without straying from those distinct Dachshund traits you can spot a mile away. Our main goal is to provide the healthiest and most well-rounded lifelong family pet.
Q. & A. with Jessica
Why did you start breeding?
I have always had a love for hounds, mainly the big slobbery ones. I took in a longhaired red hair female dachshund for a co-worker that couldn't keep her anymore, and she changed my world. They are like Pokémon, you want them all! While searching for my next dachshund, I started noticing that finding a well-rounded, healthy, bred standard family pet, was far and few in between. This why I bred.
What makes your program special?
You are not just getting a lifelong family pet, you become a lifelong member of our family. We love to send birthday gifts to all our puppies each year. We are always available for questions, tips, tricks or just for you to update us and share pictures. This is what makes our program special.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include wirehaired, smooth, and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red, chocolate, fawn (isabella), chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

About Bennie
Bennie is a longhair shaded red dapple. She is full of herself! Bennie enjoys the world revolving around her and if she thinks the world isn’t she is letting you know with her infamous side eye and attitude. This girl has diva attitude and we love it! She loves to cuddle, bark at the squirrels, telling the others they are in her way and sunbathing.
