I'm Whitney W., the breeder behind Huckleberry Doodles located in Surprise, AZ. Our puppies are bred for health and temperament with a focus on conformation and health. We strive to provide families with healthy, well socialized, wonderful pets.

  • What makes your program special?

    We raise our puppies in our home, use a curriculum, and fully health test our dams and sires to set our puppies up to be amazing additions to any family.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Poodle puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Bernedoodle puppies include mini, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Havapoo puppies include red sable, gold, gold sable, red, and apricot. Poodle puppies include apricot, red, and phantom. Bernedoodle puppies include black and white, tri-color, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Whitney

Whitney has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Whitney partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

“We take great care in placing each puppy with the right family. Puppies are matched once they are old enough to evaluate temperament and personality - typically around 7-8 weeks.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes the health guarantee, AKC registration (if applicable), microchip, first vaccines, deworming, and puppy socialization. $500 non-refundable holding fee that goes towards total Cost of puppy.”

Contract & health guarantee

Whitney may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Whitney offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Whitney directly.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    It was a great experience! Whitney held my pup for an extended period of time as I couldn't pick him up for about 4 weeks after I purchased him, and sent me multiple videos and updates in the interim. There was clear communication the entire time and I felt a lot of confidence that my pup was being raised in a great environment. I love my new puppy so much. Beyond being incredibly cute, he is so playful, so good with other people and other dogs, and so well-behaved in public. My only regret is I wish I could have convinced a friend or family member to get one of his siblings.
