Why did you start breeding?
Our journey with dachshunds began in 2013 with our first girl, Jingles. What started as simply loving a family pet quickly turned into a passion for the breed. Over time, that love grew into a small, intentional program built around temperament, education, and responsible placements.What makes your program special?
Huckleberry Tails is a small, family-based program focused on quality over quantity. Puppies are raised in-home with intentional early handling and ENS. Each goes home with a custom education packet we wrote, plus lifetime breeder support. We use a free waitlist and transparent placement process.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Jessi has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jessi partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Price includes age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, vet check, health guarantee, AKC limited registration, ENS, custom education packet, and lifetime breeder support. Deposits are non-refundable. If our veterinarian identifies a health concern during the exam, the deposit may be refunded upon request.”

Litter update on 26 Jan •…✨ Litter Update ✨ Our sweet puppies are off to a wonderful start! 🩷🩷🐾💙💙 They’re nursing beautifully, growing steadily, and settling into those peaceful newborn rhythms. Mama is doing exactly what nature intended—attentive, gentle, and fully devoted to caring for and loving her babies. She rarely leaves their side, and it’s a joy to watch her confidence and calmness shine through with this litter. This week, we’ll begin Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)—a gentle, intentional practice we incorporate during the earliest days of life to support well-rounded development. What ENS means for your puppy: • Brief, age-appropriate handling designed specifically for newborn puppies • Helps support confidence and adaptability as they grow • Encourages resilience during new experiences later in life • Always done carefully, calmly, and with the puppy’s comfort as the priority ENS sessions are very short and positive, and they’re just one of the many thoughtful steps we take to give our puppies an exceptional start. The puppies will be one week old on Tuesday, and each day brings subtle changes and sweet milestones. We’re so grateful to share this season with you and look forward to many more updates as this litter grows. 🤍🐾
