Hunter’s Moon Labradors

Caroline N.

Breeder of Labrador Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Caroline N., the breeder behind Hunter’s Moon Labradors located in Creswell, OR. We raise Labrador Retrievers from exceptional field bloodlines who will become outstanding field retrievers, athletes, and excellent family companions. Our goal is to breed great puppies for hunting and athletic homes that will also be cherished family companions when a great day of hunting, competing, or playing is over.

Q. & A. with Caroline

  • Why did you start breeding?

We purchased a chocolate lab from a breeder (Sagecreek Kennels) as a gift for my wife. I fell in love with the breed and eventually developed a desire to raise quality labs for families and individuals who wanted a working family companion. We have since purchased several more dogs from Sagecreek. The eldest is 14 and doing well.
  • What makes your program special?

It is very important to us as breeders that our puppies go to homes where they will be cherished companions AND working members of their families. We define working somewhat loosely to include families who will hunt with their dog, go hiking and camping, have the dog as a service animal, or participate in different dog sports, such as scent work, dock diving, hunt tests, obedience, CAT and FASTCAT.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and chocolate. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
