I'm Jon H., the breeder behind HuntRidge located in Boise, ID. We cherish each of our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to make sure that they have the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families.

Why did you start breeding?
It is hard to fall in love with a specific breed and not want to share that. If I can help others to have what I have, I will have made a difference in the lives of pets and their owners. Choosing the right families is key. If you haven't experienced unconditional love in your life, it is only because you have never owned a miniature schnauzer!What makes your program special?
As one who competes competitively in the show ring, I understand the importance of thoughtful selection of the parents of each litter to continually improve my bloodline. I am proud of the excellence in quality of my puppies. I am confident that they will bring happiness and joy into the lives of their forever families, just as they do in mine. Both dam and sire of my puppies are AKC champions.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are salt and pepper. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

About Sunny
Sunny is a female Miniature Schnauzer. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Jon decided to make her part of their program. Jon has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
