I'm Addy and Rosamaria A., the breeder behind HuskiesAndGoldensWithFinesse located in Elmwood Park, IL. We offer well-rounded, healthy, happy Siberian Husky and Golden Retriever puppies who will excel in any adventure with their new family! Our dogs are intelligent, loving, and athletic, and they produce puppies who will thrive in an active lifestyle. We're passionate about these dogs and are careful to breed and raise our pups with only the best policies.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have always loved dogs, and been raised around Siberian Huskies. I got into breeding to share the same joy and happiness I experience with my own dogs. As a breeder it has always been important to me to improve the Siberian Husky, Golden Retriever and Miniature American Shepherd breed, with puppies with the best health and temperament it can be.

  • What makes your program special?

    All our Dogs are indoor family pets, as such we provide the same level of care to all our puppies. All our puppies are raised indoors, house broken and are taught basic obedience commands. Having had multiple dogs as a child and now as an adult, I have acquired a lot of knowledge and familiarization with the breeds I specialize in. I maintain open communication with new owners to share my experience .

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Ichthyosis, Golden Retriever Type

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

    I cannot recommend Addy and Rosa highly enough! From my very first message on Good Dog through today, their communication has been absolutely exceptional. After exchanging initial messages on Good Dog, Addy took the time to really get to know us. She asked detailed questions about our lifestyle, home environment, and previous experience with Aussies or American Shepherds (we had the most wonderful Aussie Black Tri for 13 years). She wanted to know what we were looking for in a new puppy, then thoughtfully discussed the litter's parents to reassure us about healthy genetics and the medium energy/temperament we desired. Based on our conversation, she made personalized recommendations from the litter. Since the puppies were only 4 weeks old when we first spoke, Addy provided access to a live puppy cam so we could observe the pups ourselves before reserving a specific pup - what a thoughtful touch! She followed up that same day with a comprehensive email containing info on recommended products (food, treats, toys, etc.), potty training, play pen setup, exercise, and raising a puppy. Additionally, she sent us updated puppy development info, photos, and videos of the puppies we were interested in, which helped us thoughtfully narrow down our choice. The combination of genuine conversation, transparency, helpful resources, and zero pressure made it clear we'd found responsible breeders. Four days before pickup, Addy and Rosa provided complete veterinary records showing our puppy was healthy, had passed an aptitude test, and was current on vaccinations. Our own vet confirmed we brought home a happy, healthy pup - exactly as promised! As promised, our puppy arrived with medium energy, clearly socialized with people, and comfortable with car rides (no issues on the 30-minute drive home). The puppy's temperament and adjustment have been everything they described. What truly sets them apart is their continued care. They've checked in with us every single day since we brought our puppy home to ensure everything was going well, and even though we've raised puppies before, they've offered helpful tips to keep our new guy happy while emphasizing continued contact should we ever have questions or concerns.     Addy and Rosemaria were an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. My first interaction with them was inquiring about a female puppy named Zoey in November 2024. Her adorable photos immediately captured my heart, and I knew I had found my forever pup. From the very beginning, Addy and Rosemaria were transparent, friendly, and helpful, providing clear information about costs and the services they offer. I felt no pressure to place a deposit, which I really appreciated. Once I decided to adopt Zoey, now named Aurora, they continued to keep me updated with photos and videos. Then, Addy and Rosemaria scheduled a call to walk me through the binder they had created for me. This binder included everything related to Aurora’s parents’ medical history, her AKC paperwork, and guidance on welcoming my new puppy home. It was one of the most thoughtful and useful things I received, and it still holds all of Aurora’s important documents. While I initially struggled with the logistics of getting Aurora from their home to mine on the East Coast, their puppy transport service made everything easier. I was able to arrange for a flight nanny to bring her to me, and the process was seamless. When I finally met Aurora, my heart melted. She was and is everything I hoped for—a perfect match. She greeted me with the most adorable wiggle butt, and she’s been wiggling ever since. I can’t recommend Addy and Rosemaria enough, and I would absolutely work with them again if I ever add another puppy to my family.

    Addy and Rosa were extremely professional throughout the process of getting our 4 month old Siberian Husky. They answered all of our questions and stayed in touch in case we had any additional questions after Bluey’s first night with us. Addy dropped Bluey off so he could meet our 7 year old Husky and our family to see if we would be a good match, and everyone hit it off right away! They definitely care about their dogs and getting them a good home. They are very organized and document every detail from birth weight to when Bluey first opened his eyes and began walking in a binder they gave us with Bluey.
