Q. & A. with Grace
Why did you start breeding?
When we met in 1997 I was a career flight attendant, I raised my family and I was enjoying flying the country to visit my children and loved ones wherever they were. Sadly, by the end of that year I became ill and I was no longer able to fly, my dream job was gone. My husband decided to find a companion for me who would give me a reason to get up everyday. It worked, 27 Doxies and 26 years later

Hello family and friends of Long dogs.
Ides Of March was blessed with two litters this spring and summer, needless to say it’s been eventful around here. We have added two more babies to our pack, Who are incredibly small but pack more fun and energy than the adults twice their size!
Poor Tim has spent his summer home with us after an accident at work where he tore his bicep and had to have an emergency surgery. That left him at home with us for six weeks, And because these little guys are healing souls, they have put all their energy to getting him better. They follow him wherever he goes, and they are very attentive to waiting on him and smothering him with love. It’s really quite amazing to watch and of course I have a few that are always with me, and they never leave me. We are blessed to have a beautiful home where we can rest and have a bit of respite after six decades in the real world. I am perfectly content to spend my days in my garden or my home. I’m being loved by my long dogs. I can’t think of anything better. Please reach out and tell us all about your summer and your long dog stories, we will be sharing more about our sires and our breeding program more to come… Looking forward to a happy fall!

Adopting our baby Jodie from Grace was a great experience. I got to meet all the siblings and other dachshunds in the house which was nice to get a sense of how our pup would grow up. She has the sweetest personality, loves to play, rarely barks, and we got her potty trained fairly quickly! She also loves our big German shepherd to death and always wants to be near him.

I had the pleasure of adopting my sweet dachshund, Molly, from Grace and Tim. They were incredibly friendly, caring, and professional. The entire process was smooth, and they provided me with a fantastic starter pack for Molly, which included potty pads, treats, toys, a cozy blanket, and an informative book on dachshunds—everything I needed to welcome her home.
Their dedication to their puppies' well-being was evident in how they cared for Molly and shared her early milestones with me. They even took the time to check in after the adoption, showing their genuine commitment to finding good homes. I highly recommend Grace and Tim to anyone looking to adopt—they are truly wonderful breeders who made this a joyful experience. Thank you, Grace and Tim, for bringing Molly into our lives!

Grace was wonderful to work with! She definitely cares about each and every one of her puppies and finding them the perfect homes. She was attentive, responsive, and accommodating and made the process enjoyable. We all feel like a family! The puppy we got from Grace is healthy, socialized, and potty pad trained! They sent us home with food, a blanket with the mommy's and siblings scents on it, and lots of other goodies like teething toys. I highly recommend working with Grace!
