I'm Christy C., the breeder behind Improv Show Dogs located in Springfield, IL. I love my dogs and while they are shown they are also part of my home and family. They are health tested and selectively bred. When I bring a life into the world, I make sure it gets the best start possible. This includes proper health care and socialization for each puppy, but it starts even earlier than birth. I set my puppies up for success by carefully selecting the parents of each litter, keeping in mind factors such as health, temperament, conformation, ability, and drive. My goal is to produce well-balanced puppies and find them loving, responsible homes.

Why did you start breeding?
I did not grow up in dogs. I went to my first show 25 years ago and feel in love. I found a breed (Tibetans) and started showing, joined the TSCA, and bred my first litter 20 years ago. I think it is so important to preserve my breed, and all purebred breeds out there.What makes your program special?
I take the time to find good matches that compliment each other and work to make the most healthy, happy dogs I can. My dogs are all raised with puppy culture as well as being socialized. My dogs are 100% part of my household, never in a kennel. People love puppies from me because they are well socialized and easy to train as I start before they leave my property.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
