Breeder of Golden Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Heather J., the breeder behind Indiana Prairie Goldens located in Howe, IN. We breed our dogs to better the breed. We make sure only to have healthy pups. They are well socialized and loved.

Q. & A. with Heather

  • Why did you start breeding?

I ended up a single parent of 5 and wanted to do something that would make it possible to stay home and raise my children. I felt breeding dogs would be a wonderful way to teach my kids love, compassion, and responsibility.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are in our home along with the puppies. I make sure to only breed for the better. Our dogs are OFA and Genetic tested and have vet visits to keep them healthy.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
