I'm Kristie M., the breeder behind Intuition Shih Tzu located in Strafford, MO. I breed and show Champion AKC Shih Tzu and raise Shih Tzu Puppies. I compete in AKC conformation events internationally. Showing and breeding Shih Tzu is my passion. I have shown at Westminster in NY and at the AKC National Championship in Orlando FL. (Best Of Opposite Sex and Best of Winners). Our puppy Stryker was chosen to represent The Toy Group in the first season of the AKC Puppy Pack. We had so much fun at the Meet The Breeds Events.

Why did you start breeding?
My passion for showing started in cattle with my husband many years ago. I didn’t get to show my first dog until I was 47. I had always wanted to show beautiful Shih Tzu dogs and was thrilled to get to complete my dream. After teaching for 30 years, I retired and returned to teaching part time to allow more time with my dogs.What makes your program special?
Our shih tzu are derived from the combined efforts of the top breeders in the United States and Canada. I belong to the American Shih Tzu club (Board Of Director) and have been awarded the Breeder of Merit status and the Bred With Heart status by the American Kennel Club. AKC Shih Tzu Education Coordinator. Our mission is to breed for the best health, conformation, and temperament.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, gold, black and white, and gold and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Kristie

Puppy prices include a $300 refundable deposit and between $1,900 - $2,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Our puppies come with a health guarantee and are vet checked at Strafford Vet Clinic. They are Up to date on vaccines according to the latest protocol. Deposits are to hold a puppy once we have determined the right puppy for your lifestyle. In certain instances they are refundable.”
