Meet the breeder

I'm Arianna J., the breeder behind Invading Dachshunds : AKC Miniature Wirehairs located in Moses Lake, WA. We prioritize health, temperament, and conformation when considering our litters. We want our dogs to be successful in their new homes whether they will be pets, hunters, or competitors in AKC events such as field trials, earthdog, fastcat, and conformation.

Q. & A. with Arianna

  • Why did you start breeding?

I was inspired by a friend who raises Irish Wolfhounds and Shih-tzus. She has allowed me to play a role in socializing puppies in her program. An interest in raising dogs developed soon after we began attending kennel club meetings together. I was encouraged to choose dachshunds after falling in love with ones that were in the care of my friend and my dad.
  • What makes your program special?

Our pups will be well socialized and ready for adventures with their new families. I encourage buyers to get involved with AKC sports and offer lifetime support. AKC sports are not a requirement and pet homes will be welcome. My goal is to match puppies to their new homes based on their temperaments and the prospective lifestyle they'll receive with an applicant.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have wirehaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red, wild boar, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
