I'm Katie I., the breeder behind Irlbeck Farm located in Spearman, TX. We are a small, family-run kennel raising healthy, friendly Miniature Smooth and Long-Haired Dachshunds. Our dogs are family first. We prioritize health testing and early socialization to ensure confident companions. Our mission: raising well-adjusted pets while preserving the breed standard.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Our passion for Miniature Dachshunds began with our first beloved companion. Inspired by their unique spirit and loyalty, we founded Irlbeck Farms. Our goal was simple: to responsibly breed healthy, friendly, and well-adjusted Smooth and Long-Haired puppies that bring as much joy to other families as our dogs bring to ours.

  • What makes your program special?

    Here at Irlbeck Farm, our babies are raised as a part of the family in our home. All breeding parents are AKC registered. Puppies are socialized daily by me and my kiddos. Our babies come vet checked with health certificate, health guarantee, and puppy pack that contains an assortment of goodies, paperwork, and blanket that smells of their first home here with mom and siblings.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, chocolate, chocolate and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Katie

Katie has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $800 - $4,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Puppy prices range from $1,000to $5,000 and include a non-refundable deposit of $200. “Our pricing varies depending upon pet only or with breeding rights included. It also will depend upon whether pup is AKC registered, gender, coat length, color, and pattern as well as what they carry for genetically if breeding rights are requested. Non-refundable unless puppy passes while in our care. If any issue arises at vet exam, refund or discount is at discretion of seller depending on specific issue."

    Working with Katie was truly a dream come true. Her communication was consistent, and she provided frequent updates. Anytime I had a question, she responded quickly and thoroughly. Since I live in South Carolina and Penny was in Texas, Katie made sure I had all the necessary documents to fly with her. I flew into Amarillo, and Katie met me at the airport. Penny was just as beautiful in person as she was in her pictures. Unfortunately, our flight home was canceled, and Katie went above and beyond—she came back to the airport for us, bought food and puppy pads for Penny, dinner for me, and even drove us to our hotel. As for my precious Penny, she is absolutely perfect. She is in great health and so well-adjusted—you can truly tell how well she was cared for. She arrived already mostly pad-trained, with only a few accidents so far. She has a wonderful temperament, is smart, loving, and such a joy. I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about Katie and her puppies!
