Meet the breeder

I'm Shawna T., the breeder behind Iron Angel Maltese located in Clarksville, TN. My dogs are raised in my home alongside my family. We are dedicated to providing families with wonderful, healthy family pets.

Q. & A. with Shawna

  • Why did you start breeding?

What began as a deep love for this breed has grown into a lifelong commitment to its preservation and improvement. Today, our program is centered around the show ring, where we compete in conformation to ensure our dogs meet the highest standards of health, temperament, and structure. By breeding for the show ring first, we ensure that every puppy we produce—whether they head to a show ring or become a beloved family companion—comes from a foundation of quality and intentionality.
  • What makes your program special?

Our breeding program is built on a "quality first" philosophy. Because we are active in the show community, our decisions are never based on quantity or convenience. Every litter is bred with the goal of producing our next champion. This means that our pet-bound puppies benefit from the same high-level health screenings, socialization, and structural integrity as our show prospects. We provide a foundation of excellence that is rarely found outside of a dedicated show home.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
