Meet the breeder

I'm Christine H., the breeder behind IronBee Dobermans located in Shelby, NC. Our breeding dog(s) are health tested with an emphasis on functional performance and solid minds/temperament.

Q. & A. with Christine

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have always valued ethical breeding practices dedicated to preserving the integrity of a breed. My commitment led me to acquire my first breeding-quality Doberman, who provided the ideal foundation I was seeking. After she completed all health testing and proved her quality in both performance and conformation, I began my journey of producing Dobermans with the goal of improving the breed.
  • What makes your program special?

We are a small, home-based breeding operation dedicated to providing the utmost attention to each puppy as they develop. Our breeding dogs are screened for hips, elbows, heart, and breed-specific conditions. We also ensure they have proven temperaments, performance, and conformation to produce sound, healthy dogs with excellent longevity. Puppies are born and raised in our home, where they receive Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and structured enrichment to help them grow into confident, adaptable companions. I also provide lifelong breeder support for all of our families.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and rust and red and rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
