Shannon P.

Breeder of Poodles

Meet the breeder

I'm Shannon P., the breeder behind J and S Farms located in Bolivar, MO. Our dogs are our beloved companions. We care deeply about this breed and are proud to be responsible Poodle breeders. We’re a small-scale program with a big love of Poodles! Our dogs are our passion, and we enjoy spreading the love of Poodles with other individuals and families by responsibly breeding our incredible dogs.

Q. & A. with Shannon

  • Why did you start breeding?

We were completing a landscape job for a customer who had a beautiful red standard poodle. I wanted to get a dog after ours tragically died and fell in love with the breed. As our Lucy got older and our children announced they wanted to serve missions and go to college we thought that this would be a way to help. We found a wonderful sire with great lines and here we are.
  • What makes your program special?

Lucy is our girl. She was raised in our home from 8 weeks on. We love her like we love our children and as such her puppiesas well. We strive for healthy standards and want to make sure that we are helping to better the breed in all that we do.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include apricot and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
