Meet the breeder

I'm Sandra S., the breeder behind J & S Borders located in Goldsboro, NC. We breed quality border collies that are health tested and well socialized. Our goal is to breed well-rounded and sound borders. Our puppies are excellent for showing, herding, sporting, and as loving pets.

Q. & A. with Sandra

  • Why did you start breeding?

We decided to start breeding when we fell in love with the love and intelligence of border collies. These dogs are up for anything you want to do but they also adore their humans. We have easily proven with our program that these dogs can be happy and have sound minds without living on a farm and being busy 24/7
  • What makes your program special?

We have a thorough contract and we have our puppies vet checked before they go to their new homes. We evaluate each of our pups to place them in the best home scenario for them. Our puppies are excellent for showing, herding, sporting, and as loving pets. We personally compete in Obedience, Conformation, Rally, Lure-coursing, and Dock Diving.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

All of our puppies are the same price regardless of gender or color. All puppies are health tested as well as vet and trainer evaluated before being placed.”
