I'm Madeline R., the breeder behind J7 Miniature Australian Shepherds located in Florida. Our program is run out of Texas and Florida. We are in the process of transitioning all dogs to Florida so we make frequent deliveries to the area. We are a very small program and focus on doing things correctly. All of our dogs are our personal family pets first!
Q. & A. with Madeline
Why did you start breeding?
My first Miniature Australian Shepherd came in 2012 and I was hooked. Farrah is the best dog I have had and is now happily retired aside from recreational mole hunting/bird catching! We realized that the Aussie look and temperament we loved was not common in the minis we frequently saw at rodeos so we set out to find that perfect Aussie in a smaller package so along came our second Aussie, Willa!
What makes your program special?
We are extremely small with only two current breeding females. Our dogs are farm/house dogs so puppies get to grow up around livestock while learning how to be great housepets! With our size, we can focus on each dog to match them with the perfect home and pinpoint where we want to make changes in our program.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
