Q. & A. with Jacquye
Why did you start breeding?
I bought my first well-bred labrador from a place recommended by a breeder friend. This lab absolutely blew my mind. We compete in dog sports and she gives her all 100% of the time. I found a mentor and Puppy Culture. After getting her genetic test results back I felt like she was worth breeding.
What makes your program special?
When looking at males to pair her with, I look at their desire to work and their home life. Can they tell the difference between work time and chill time? Once the puppies are born, I follow Puppy Culture and a puppy fitness program. My puppies leave me environmentally, and socially stable. They are desensitized to sounds and surfaces and are socialized with other dogs before leaving.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and chocolate. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
