Meet the breeder
I'm Amanda J., the breeder behind Jenkins Tzu and Poo’s located in Mattoon, IL. Our focus is to produce the best dogs of the highest quality so that other families can also enjoy the love of a Shih Tzu. These dogs have proven to be wonderful companions in our lives. It is a privilege to be able to share that love and friendship with others through responsible breeding. We also now breed mini poodles! We’re a small in home breeding program that raises our pups with lots of love and socializing.

Why did you start breeding?
I started 12 yrs ago when I got my first tzu and then decided to get a male and had my first litter. I did a lot of research asking other breeders, google, books, veterinary. I just fell in love with the breed and when I received such good feedback about my pups I decided to keep breeding. I also fell in love with poodle breed. So now breed both mini poodles and tzu! We love spoiling our pups!What makes your program special?
A lot of our pups have gone on to be service animals or emotional support animals. Both breeds I raise are hypoallergenic and non shedding so this helps people with allergies!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include gold, brindle and white, and liver and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Amanda
Amanda has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $600 - $1,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“All poodles are $800 Female tzu pet price $1000 Female tzu w/rights $1300 Male tzu $800. A $200.00 nonrefundable deposit required to hold pup. Then remaining balance would be due upon pickup of pup at 8/10 weeks.”
Contract & health guarantee
Amanda may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
