I'm Jennifer K., the breeder behind Jennifer Chadwell located in Wheatland, WY. Our journey with miniature dachshunds started from a deep lobe of their big personalities, loyalty, and affectionate companionship. We operate a small, dedicated breeding program where our dogs live INSIDE our home as family members. My parent dogs undergo complete genetic health evaluations.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My core goal is to focus on health, sweet temperaments, proper structure and happy, healthy puppies. Focusing on breeding a perfect puppy is what I strive for.

  • What makes your program special?

    My parent dogs have undergone Embark genetic testing and regular veterinary exams. They are happy and very active little dogs! Our dogs (and puppies) are raised directly in our home, not in a kennel. They are well-socialized by the time they are ready, between kids to livestock.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Jennifer

Jennifer has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jennifer partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit that secures a spot on the general waitlist. The remaining $1,000 - $2,500 is due at pickup, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes CKC registration, first round of vaccinations, deworming, puppy’s going home bag (food, treats, blanket, information folder, collar, microchip), and puppy’s socialization. All of our puppies are the same price, regardless of sex or color. Deposit will hold your puppy and is non-refundable unless a death occurs.”

Contract & health guarantee

Jennifer may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
