I'm Cecily J., the breeder behind Jensen’s Fox Red Labs located in Saint Paul, MN. We breed to produce happy, loving, trainable and healthy puppies that can continue to thrive in their forever homes. We do our best to set you and your new puppy up for a successful transition home by providing reliable resources, completing ENS exercises, and exposing our puppies to a variety of experiences.
Q. & A. with Cecily
Why did you start breeding?
My father- in-law has bred dogs for many years so my husband grew up with welcoming puppies into the world. When we got Mally we wanted to keep a line going and had our first litter in 2019.
What makes your program special?
Because we only have one litter every 1-2 years we are able to dedicate quality time to each puppy and each buyer throughout the puppies lifespan. We love getting updates about all the great things our puppies are up to!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Mally is a female Labrador Retriever. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Cecily decided to make her part of their program. Cecily has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.
Parent health testing
Breeder-Reported Testing
Great level
Jensen’s Fox Red Labs reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Labrador Retrievers.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), DNA Disease Panel, Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
