About Sheila
Sheila has a very confident and outgoing personality! She loves doing performance sports where she is in charge, like scent detection and sprinter/fast cat. She's a moderately sized girl at 20 pounds, and has a nice amount of tan (not too much, not too little). She has a beautiful coat that is easy to maintain and has been a model in competitions for some of the top groomers in North America. She finished her Canadian Championship in 3 weekends, and also has her UKC Championship with a Group 1st win. My favourite thing about Sheila though is her health. She's 4 and has no food sensitivities or allergies. She's never had any ear, eye, stomach or skin issues. She eats a real variety of proteins, grains and treats. She also has well above average OFA Health testing listed publicly. Please have a look at that. These pups will be my fourth generation of American Cockers. I would love to talk to you about her siblings, parents, and grandparents.

I simply cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about Jesselle Cocker Spaniels and her breeding practices, selection process, communication level, and last but certainly not least, dogs. My husband and I made the very exciting but tough decision to welcome an English cocker spaniel into our family after the loss of our beloved golden retriever. We had done our research on the breed but really weren’t sure what the best fit was for our young family. Michelle was SO wonderful, patient and helpful in, first vetting us to make sure we were a good fit but also encouraging us that we had made a great decision for our kids. We trusted her process and allowed her to help guide us in the selection of the puppy that was best for our family — not based on looks - but on carefully studied personality traits between us and the dog. We boarded a plane to get our Sweet Olive Girl only 3/4 days after finding out which puppy was ours. It was truly love at first sight. When we arrived, we couldn’t have been more excited and Michelle welcomed us multiple times into her home to meet all the puppies, the mom and to answer any questions we had. She set us for success in getting our new family member all the way from Sarasota, FL to Shreveport, LA. The communication and helpfulness didn’t stop there and Michelle and I regularly keep in touch about Olive, her litter mates, and her Mom. Michelle wants her puppies to go to loving and wonderful home and she holds her breeding practices to the highest standards. When Olive arrived home, we quickly had a trainer come on board to help with basic obedience and house skills for our girl (potty training and sit was already well underway at Michelle’s house). And when I tell you that my trainer can literally not be in my house with my Olive without MULTIPLE compliments to her breeder; I do not exaggerate. For that matter, my vet is just as complimentary. Olive clearly comes from great genetics. Olive is the PERFECT fit for our family. She is patient with my 3 and 5 year old but has the energy to keep up. She is Velcro to my broken heart and she helped us welcome an older rescue dog into our family not too long ago. If our house wasn’t at max dog capacity, I would have my name on every one of Michelle’s litter lists for the foreseeable future. If you’re looking for someone reputable, honest, who loves her puppies AND their future families, look no further.

Michelle answered all of our questions promptly and thoroughly when we were deciding about Petal. She wanted to know all about us, which I appreciated. We had a long facetime session so she could introduce us to Petal and answer any other questions. She volunteered information, pictures, and videos that helped us make our decision. Michelle was able to meet us at a more convenient location for us to pick up Petal. She is a wonderful, caring breeder and person. Petal is a treasure. This experience was even better than we hoped for.

Michelle was great from the beginning. I applied through Gooddog and she responded immediately and told me all about herself and how she became a breeder. It was clear that she is very dedicated to her dogs and focuses on quality and not quantity. I explained what I was looking for and my history with the English Cocker Spaniel breed and she made me feel very comfortable from the start. She kept in touch with me regularly to tell me how the puppy’s mother was doing, and we arranged a meeting as soon as the little ones were born. I visited the new litter when the puppies were six weeks old and spent an hour with them to watch them play and interact. I was impressed when I saw her house and the set up, she has as a breeder. After the visit she told me which puppy I would be getting. She showed great care in matching each puppy with its respective owner based on needs, age and home life. Michelle took care of the chip for the puppy and all the paperwork and made it easy for me. She even recommended pet insurance companies. She told me exactly what I would need to get for my puppy to be comfortable at home and took the time to answer all my questions. She spent a lot of time socializing the puppies in order to give them confidence and encourage playfulness. The payment process was easy through your website too. Michelle has kept in touch with me since I brought my Gracie home, and has even been to visit us when she was in the area. I am so happy I found her through your website, and would thoroughly recommend her as a breeder.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
