I'm Jessica C., the breeder behind Jessi’s Mini Dachshunds located in Polk County, FL. I have been breeding adorable, healthy, and beautiful miniature Dachshunds for 10 years and counting. I love this breed and what I do! I want to make the transition from my loving home to yours as seamless as possible by giving personal attention to each little pup to ensure it is well-rounded.
Q. & A. with Jessica
Why did you start breeding?
I hope to help families find their puppies from responsible and ethical sources to help build a better and safer world for our dogs. I have always been passionate about the well-being of animals and I wanted to put my passion to good use! It's been a joyful commitment, and it is a pleasure to live with, work with, and share with others these wonderful dogs.
What makes your program special?
I am an experienced breeder, and I take my role seriously. When I bring a life into the world, I make sure it gets the best start possible. This includes proper health care and socialization for each puppy, but it starts even earlier than birth. I set my puppies up for success by carefully selecting the parents of each litter, keeping in mind factors such as health, temperament, and beauty. My goal is to choose parents whose genes will bring out the best qualities in each other and produce well-balanced puppies.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Jessica was awesome at communicating and provided us photos and videos each week. She was very helpful providing information. We were given a great little backpack full of goodies when we picked her up.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
