Meet the breeder

I'm Kim D., the breeder behind JKKJ Farms located in Huntington, TX. We are a small family farm located in Angelina Co & we wouldn’t be complete w/out these highly intelligent pups. They are family here & we want them to be well socialized, happy, & healthy for you & your family too whether it’s in the show ring, your lap, or herding your livestock.

Q. & A. with Kim

  • Why did you start breeding?

Agriculture/breeding has been a staple in my life since I was a kid. My journey began with horses and chickens. Then it progressed to a small herd of Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats which lead to ABGA Boer goats and we all know no farm is complete without the brains of an intelligent herding dog...so the Aussies moved in and they are getting the job done here at the farm.
  • What makes your program special?

We’re dedicated to providing quality over quantity. We focus on confirmation and temperament all while adding a splash of color to the mix. We raise an equal amount of show/herding lines to create a well rounded pup that can adjust to any and all lifestyles. We want our customers to have a memorable experience with the Aussies we raise & we offer a health guarantee and life time breeder support.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include tiny and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Australian Shepherd puppies include red & white, black & white, black, red merle, blue merle, red, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Miniature American Shepherd puppies include red tri-color, black tri, black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include black & white, red & white, blue merle, black tri, red tri, red merle, red, and black. Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include red & white, black & white, red, black, black tri, blue merle, red merle, red tri, and blue tri. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

I really enjoyed working with Kim she was very sweet, helpful and made sure I knew everything that I could about my new puppy! She really cares deeply about these dogs and it shows. The entire process was really easy and Kim made sure to send me continuous updates about my puppy as well as answer any of my questions promptly. I couldn’t say anything bad about my experience with Kim or using the good dog app she’s the best! I’m so blessed to have gotten the opportunity to find Kim and bring home my new best friend for life!

Kim was incredibly helpful and very kind from start to finish through the whole process! She leaves you with everything you could possibly need from an Amazon recommendations list to a guide on what to expect when you first bring your pup home and it was very comforting knowing that she cares for her pups and wants to ensure they're set up for success in their forever homes. I'm happy to say my now almost 8 month old Haku (FKA Balto) is settled in so well and has become an integral part of my family! JKKJ Farms is truly wonderful and I can't recommend them enough for all your Aussie needs!

Ah. Where to start? The best experience I’ve had ever purchasing a dog! First of all, Kim is really patient and kind and ready to help for ANYTHING! I was nervous at first since I wasn’t an absolute expert on dogs but she made me feel like part of the family! I got Sawyer when he was listed at 7 months. Caught my eye immediately, not to mention that I was told he had great temper and was very mellow. Good for SD work. And I really appreciate the honesty in the bio of all of her dogs. When I picked up Sawyer from the airport, his personality held true! Kim goes to great lengths to inform all her clients about her dogs and their backgrounds etc etc. it’s really thorough and I thoroughly enjoy it. ALSO also. She doesn’t talk to you like a business woman. She talks to you like a friends ( it really made me feel more relaxed ) Being a woman with Epilepsy, I think I have truly found the most perfect dog to help me through life. I no longer feel scared and alone. This is going to be beautiful thanks to JKKJ Farms 💖
