I'm Jennifer V., the breeder behind J-Lyn located in Lawton, MI. Passionatley raise & show high quality Miniature Dachshunds for 30 years & Norwegian Buhunds For 5 years. Each litter is carefully planned & hand raised with a focus on correct conformation, temperament, size, & health. To date, I have over 38 AKC Champions, 8 GCh, 5 Bronze GCh, & 2 Silver GCh!

Why did you start breeding?
Started out showing in 4-H when I was a kid. Loved showing and loved dogs. Did my research into the dachshund breed as my great grandmother had one, I acquired one and never looked back. In 2020 I added a Norwegian Buhund. The 2 breeds get along super well but the dachshunds are the boss.What makes your program special?
I strive to match each puppy/adult with the perfect family. All of my dogs live with me and many travel in my RV to dog shows. I only breed to improve and preserve the breed. My puppies are raised with aspects of Puppy Culture and other early training techniques. Crate training starts at 7 weeks. No puppy leaves until they are at least 10 wks but most are 12wks to ensure they are ready.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Dachshund puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Dachshund puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Norwegian Buhund puppies are wheaten. Dachshund puppies include red, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

"Price includes 25genetic health guarantee, pedigree, AKC limited registration, lifetime breeder support, microchip, age appropriate shots and worming. Start with Puppy Culture training. Deposits are not taken before puppies are 6 weeks. Puppies will be available no sooner than 10 weeks."

About Xyla
Meet Xyla, an independent girl. She likes doing things her way. She can be sassy and stubborn and then turn around and give you the sweetest expressions and loving kisses. Xyla won her 1st major her very first time in the ring at barely 6 mos old. She loves playing with her dachshund house mates despite them kicking her butt every time. Xyla finished her AKC championship in just over a year with limited showing and excelled every time in the ring.

About Icelyn
Icelyn is the sweetest girl. She sleeps with me every night and insists that we snuggle for the first 10-15 min. She loves traveling with me and is so easy to travel with. When not hanging with me or in the yard acting as the guard dog, she is chilling while chewing on her favorite bone.

About Apollo
Apollo is an AKC conformation champion and is a very smart boy. He loves to go with me no matter where I am going. He has a very -look at me- expression which makes him an excellent show dog. He learned early on if he brings me something-toy, paper, bone-he will get a treat so now he brings stuff all the time and is very helpful with clean that way. He LOVES people, walking through a crowd, he is in his glory as he thinks they are all there to see him.

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA), Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
