I'm Jo S., the breeder behind Jo Smallwood located in Carleton, MI. I'm the breeder of Jo Ann Yorkie's located in Carleton , MI. I have been breeding for over 30 years. We are pet owners first and foremost. All of our puppies are raised in my home with family until they’re ready to join yours. The sweet, playful disposition of our dogs inspired us to begin responsibly breeding to expand the breed and share them with others.

Why did you start breeding?
My friend was breeding Yorkie and I fell in love. I have been breeding for 30 years.We love bringing so much happiness and love to our customers! We know how dogs are an important part of the family.What makes your program special?
I believe my dedication to the breed, to only breed to better it. To help other love them as much as do.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include chocolate, tan and white, chocolate and tan, parti, black and tan, and black and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Jo was extremely kind and helpful. She was gracious and sent me updated pictures of my puppy every few weeks. After pickup, she checked up on the puppy and helped me get him adjusted.
