I'm Joel Y., the breeder behind Joel Yoder located in Shipshewana, IN. Our Miniature longhaired Dachshunds are raised on a 5 acre homestead. Providing them a loving and secure environment in a family atmosphere, that make wonderful companions! Our top priority in breeding is health and temperament. We strive to place our pups in a loving and enriching home.

What makes your program special?
We strive to make our dogs and puppies as comfortable and happy as can be. All of the dogs and puppies get personal care on a daily basis. We and our children give them plenty of hugs and kisses as soon as they are able to be handled. We do genetic testing and OFA certifications on all of our breeders to ensure top health.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
PawPrint Genetic Panel (Breed Specific), DNA Coat/Trait Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
