I'm John C., the breeder behind John's Yorkshire Terriers located in Essexville, MI. Approx 20 years ago I decided to buy a Yorkshire Terrier and feel in love with the breed. At that time I decided to become a very small breeder only for friends and family. A few years later I decided I wanted to become a breeder for everyone. All of my pets have been raised in my home and live a wonderful life. I have learned a lot since I started. I now Embark test all puppies, I do Early Neurological Stimulation. We want to make sure you are receiving the best puppy that is happy and healthy.

I recently purchased my sweet Yorkshire Terrier puppy, Lilly, from John Curl at JC’s Precious Yorkies through the Good Dog app, and I couldn’t be happier. From start to finish, working with John was an outstanding experience—he is thorough, communicative, and truly cares about his puppies and their new families. John answered every question I had promptly and in detail. He even asked if I liked the name Lilly or wanted to change it, and offered to start calling her by my preferred name right away to help with the transition. Throughout the process, he sent occasional photo updates of Lilly, which I absolutely loved. He maintained excellent records of all vet visits and vaccinations, and went above and beyond by doing a DNA test—not only to screen for any potential health issues but also to predict her adult weight. On delivery day, John personally brought Lilly to me with all the necessary paperwork, plus thoughtful extras like her favorite toys and blankets that smelled like home. It made the handover so smooth and comforting for her. Lilly has been thriving since the moment she arrived—she’s healthy, playful, and incredibly well-socialized. Amazingly, she’s slept through the night from day one. I use a white noise machine for sleep, and noticed she was completely quiet when it was on. When I asked John about it, he confirmed he uses one too—such a genius touch that prepared her perfectly! Thank you, John, for raising such an amazing pup and for making this entire process truly fantastic. I highly recommend JC’s Precious Yorkies to anyone looking for a healthy, loving Yorkie from a dedicated and responsible breeder!
