Meet the breeder

I'm Clancy J., the breeder behind Johnson Farms located in New York. Our family has had large breed dogs since 1976. We have designed and built a state of the art facility for our dogs. We are located in the country on an 800-acre farm. It is a comfortable, safe and healthy environment. Our breeding program is aimed at producing the best looking, physically and emotionally healthy dogs we can. This requires taking many genetically transmitted traits into consideration for a well-balanced mating that will produce a well-balanced litter of puppies.

Q. & A. with Clancy

  • Why did you start breeding?

We purchased a show dog from our mentor and co-owned her through her Championship and had 4 beautiful litters.
  • What makes your program special?

We breed some of the finest quality Saint Bernards and Newfoundlands. We have finished many champions.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Newfoundland puppies include white and black, black, brown, and gray. Saint Bernard puppies are brown and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Clancy was friendly and knowledgeable about Saint Bernards. My baby girl Daisy is the best girl. She is healthy and happy and has the best temperament. Thank you for a wonderful dog.

Clancy was a very responsible and responsive breeder for my Newfoundland and we picked our Newfoundland on our honeymoon and she bared with us with our time change on our honeymoon to get everything straightened out and we actually were able to pick them up the weekend. We got home off of our honeymoon. She did an amazing job with everything that needed to be done with him even through his health issues that he recently had she was there for us giving us any advice she had from breeding them for so many years. Everything was just such a great and memorable experience that we would definitely recommend and use again to get our next Newfoundland or Saint Bernard

We love our St Bernard from Johnson Farms. We have no complaints about our interactions with Clancy. The woman who delivered him to us was very sweet. Ralph is going on 2 years old and doing wonderful. He is a stereotypical St Bernard— highly protective, loyal, and easily trainable. He loves when we let him be a lap dog.
