I'm Laurén J., the breeder behind Johnson Family Paws located in Stuart, IA. Our puppies parents are registered with AKC, APR or CKC. They are temperament tested, pass vet health exams, and have to pass genetic testing before they will be added to our breeding program. We want to produce healthy and good-tempered babies.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    At Johnson's Pembroke Welsh Corgi's and more we have had a love for all animals since I was young and started raising puppies in 2000. Our breeding philosophy has remained the same over the years, to breed AKC, APRI and or CKC reg breed standard, (occasionally American corgis) genetically tested, physically and mentally sound dogs. Our litters are carefully planned.

  • What makes your program special?

    All of our puppies are raised here on the ranch with extra love, special care, and attention is given to each puppy to ensure that they have the best start to their lives. Our litters are carefully planned, each adult is genetically tested, We want to ensure the breed's future and provide a happy and healthy new puppy to your family. I am always only a phone call away.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Dachshund puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Dachshund puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies include red, sable, and black and tan. Dachshund puppies include piebald, cream, red, black and tan, and dapple. Miniature Schnauzer puppies include parti, liver, salt and pepper, black, and black and silver. American Corgi puppies include red and white, black and tan, and blue merle and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Deposits and all payments are non refundable unless something happens to the puppy in our care then deposits are refundable or transferred. Deposit is $200 due when you choose your puppy."

    Lauren was super responsive at answering all the questions I had. I was able to meet and take home my puppy Mabel within 24 hours of seeing her on good dog. Mabel is adjusting extremely well especially with her new cat friends. I love that she was raised around other puppies and kittens as she was able to adjust to her two cat siblings very fast.
