There are two players in this transaction – there’s the dog and there’s the breeder. And either one of them could be a disappointment. My dog, Leonard, came to me a tiny puppy. And grew into a rambunctious teenager. I wanted a dog and my timing was most fortunate. I was looking for a dog shortly after Joni had a litter and just before they were ready to leave home. The puppy was wonderful! He is now a teenage dog of 8 months. He is polite, conscientious, obedient, and trouble-free, but that is almost always going to be the case. Humans don’t deserve dogs, but – deserve or not – they are here, and I give thanks for that daily. The point of my review is not the dog but the breeder. Joni was equally wonderful! I’m going to ignore the care a breeder must maintain for their charges; that seems obvious and I have only been a “hearsay” observer, but the “hearsay” is good. I can talk about the transaction, which is most of the relationship with the breeders when purchasing a dog – trouble-free and frictionless. I had no questions about the quality of the puppy, so the only discussion was, “How?”. I would have had a 300 mile one-way trip but Joni recognized that there was another owner who lived within 50 mi of me and she arranged to effectively “ship” my puppy with this other owner! That was a degree of consideration that is unusual at a minimum an even non-existent among the breeders and “rescuers” that I constantly encountered who thought that they still owned the puppy and were going to dictate my relationship with my dog under threat of – literally – litigation! Have I mentioned that Joni was wonderful? I am generally reserved and I don’t distribute compliments easily and certainly not frivolously. So when I say I can wholeheartedly recommend Joni, it carries the weight of a rare commendation. Get one of Joni’s Border Collies; you’ll have a momentary and effortless acquisition and a lifetime of pleasure.

Joni was very generous letting us come down and meet the pups not long after they were born. We appreciated meeting their parents, and seeing their living conditions. Both thumbs up! We’ve had “Archie” for about eight months, AND WE LOVE HIM to the moon and back. Thanks, Joni! —Tuc Watkins
