I'm Jody A., the breeder behind Jopavist Shetland Sheepdogs located in New Hampshire. Jopavist Shelties is a small hobby kennel. We have been raising and showing Shelties for more than 40 years. We enjoy working with all aspects of the Sheltie breed. Our Shelties are house dogs and family first. Our pups are bred for quality, soundness of mind, body, and spirit. We are dedicated breeding to the standard.

We began breeding because we wanted to breed Shelties that can perform in any venue and be an awesome family companion.
What makes your program special?
Our pups will be your companions for their lifetime. They are guaranteed against any genetic defects that could make pups unsuitable as a pet.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
Getting a puppy from Jody
Jody has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $2,200 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price includes a quality, healthy pup. The pup has first vaccinations, deworming, vet check, health certificate, and the pups are guaranteed. The deposit is returned if the purchaser does not see a pup that they would like. After five weeks of age the deposit is not returned.”

health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps
protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you
both have a clear understanding of the terms of your

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
