I'm Joseph S., the breeder behind Joseph’s Dachshunds located in Vero Beach, FL. We love this breed and the experience of having litters! Our mission is to raise pups that are set to become the best companions. Our mission is to breed the very best dogs that we can, to raise them with love, and to select their future homes with careful attention. You will find cheaper puppies you will find more expensive puppies, but you will never find our quality puppies.

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, fawn (isabella) and cream, chocolate and cream, blue and cream, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Joseph

Joseph has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,800 - $3,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Early Onset Progressive Retinal Atrophy (EOPRA), DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Thank you, Joey! The other reviewers are right. It’s obvious that you put a LOT of care into breeding and caring for your dogs and puppies. In short, I wasn’t sure about buying a puppy online. I found Sophie (aka Godiva). The pictures really caught her personality incredibly well. My husband was equally taken, and said, if we don’t decide now, she probably won’t be available tomorrow which I believe is absolutely true. We had to delay picking up puppy by a week. The midway point that Joey arranged was easy to get to. He explained the paperwork, and it was easy to understand with a checklist of things to do. I am not biased, of course (lol), but Sophie is the perfect puppy, well socialized, smart, just beautiful, and learns quickly. She is not yet pee pad trained, but she learns what not to do quickly, e.g. chew on cords or shoes by a simple “uh!” and she remembers! She appears very healthy and has spurts of playful energy and times when she is mellow or just sleepy. We are so happy and are sure we made the right choice. I would recommend Joey to anyone who is looking for a healthy, socialized and beautiful puppy. Thank you, Joey. We are so happy!
