I'm Travis & Ashley H., the breeder behind Journey’s End Dachshunds located in Shelley, ID. We are a small in home breeder of top quality AKC dachshunds who are pet owners 1st and foremost. Our goal is to help buyers end their dog search journey with a perfect companion. We raise our litters in our home to set the foundation for happy, healthy and well socialized puppies.

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, brindle, wheaten, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, black and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

“The price includes guarantee, AKC registration, first vaccinations, wellness exam by licensed veterinarian, health record, worming and puppy starter pack. Deposits are non-refundable unless an issue arises with your chosen puppy (ie sickness). In that event buyer may transfer deposit to another available puppy or get full refund of deposit.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
