Q. & A. with Lily
Why did you start breeding?
I never intended to become a breeder but Joy so impressed me with her biddability, intelligence, marking and nose, that I had to see if I could produce an even better dog with her as the foundation. Besides the talent that makes her a phenomenal hunt test competitor, waterfowl and upland hunter, her good looks, playful personality, and easy temperament make her a natural family companion, too.
What makes your program special?
Joy is the first and youngest female pointing Lab west of the Rockies to have earned the rare and coveted trifecta of hunt test titles in APLA, AKC, and HRC: 4xGMPR - MH - HRCH. Joy’s family tree includes some of the most celebrated names in the FT & PL worlds: Kenai, Tub, Jazztime, Super Sonic, Honcho, and Hall of Fame dogs Grits, Thor, Cajun, Raider, Nappy, Choice, Chica and Super Powder.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Joy
An athletic and agile 53 lb girl, Joy possesses an extraordinary nose, pinpoint marking ability, extreme biddability and the tenaciousness to dig out difficult birds. In the upland field, she methodically hunts in gun range and rarely misses a bird. In the duck blind, she quietly and patiently sits in her box and waits for the birds to fall. At home, she is playful and easy going and on the trail, she is the perfect hiking companion, always checking back in and friendly with everyone and every dog we pass.
