I'm Helen P., the breeder behind Joyful Yorkies located in Battle Ground, WA. We focus on intentional breeding so that we can produce quality puppies that are excellent representations of the standard. Our dogs have silky coats, proper coloring, good anatomy and movement, a straight top line, a nice head shape, and an excellent temperament. The parents are DNA profiled through AKC and DNA tested on health issues. Our goal is to breed quality puppies according to the AKC standards. We are dedicated to always having responsible policies when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming our pups.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have always loved animals and fell particularly in love with the Yorkie breed. I enjoy owning Yorkies myself and love helping every puppy become a wonderful companion for their new family.

  • What makes your program special?

    We breed top-quality pups. They are healthy and well socialized with both people and dogs. We love our overseas Yorkie parents, who come from very famous champion lines. It is important to us not only that we preserve our own phenomenal bloodlines, but that we are improving this breed with each litter and ensuring the well-being of these dogs for generations more to come.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are blue and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Helen

Helen has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Helen partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $3,000 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Our puppies are sold as pet only on a spay-neuter contract. Limited AKC is available after we get spay/neuter confirmation from your vet. WAITLIST DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE unless the adult female of your choice does not produce the male or female of your choice, in which case your deposit will be fully refunded.”

Helen may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
