Claire B.

Breeder of Labrador Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Claire B., the breeder behind Jungle Lake Labradors located in Birnamwood, WI. AKC American, British, and English Labradors All Dogs are genetically tested through Embark and OFA tested with a 2 year guarantee and 100% Breeder support for life.

Q. & A. with Claire

  • Why did you start breeding?

My Aunt Jamie Kreitzer's love for Labradors is what started it all. Her and my Uncle Steve have grown and started Jungle Lake Labrador Lodge. Sadly Jamie passed away, now Steve and I (Claire) are continuing on Jamie's dream and life passion to produce healthy, hunters and family Labs.
  • What makes your program special?

All of our dogs are cleared of genetic diseases that are common to Labradors. Which means they are of the safest, healthiest dogs to use in a breeding program. On top of having the best health, we only breed our dogs that have the best temperament. Our dogs can be your best friend and your hunting partner.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Brucellosis

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Full Embark Panel

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
