I put a movie on your gooddog site. Check it out. Suki is scared of umbrellas including me holding one, also baseball caps. She shouldn't have been fed in a crate, this can often make resource guarders of food and some dogs become aggressive. I feed in the kitchen touch her food a lot and she quits eating early but I refuse to feed in her crate. Bad start. She is playful, likes Leela, fruit, and raw bones, loves the big yard to run in. Had trouble calling her to me until a new harness and leash did the work for me. I say 'come' and pull her to me, praise/treat and inside. I am having a difficult time house training her because (I understand but don't agree) she was never trained to go outside for bathroom duties. She goes faster than me running to the door and getting her out, I come back inside and find what she had done inside in less than 1 minute. Now, this is a Pom and I've had German shepherds since 1985 so that's almost 40yrs. What a difference in a lot of ways. I never spent this much time house training some shepherds train in a day. My shepherds learned very early to come when called esp. with rewards. There isn't a reward that Suki thinks is worth any kind of training. Real meat-nope. So all in all for me it's a very different experience. Not bad or good, just different. She's very cute likes affection, wags her little tail and makes me happy and I laugh every day at her funny antics. She's a lot of fun 90% of the time.
