I'm Mallory P., the breeder behind K & L Ranch located in Independence, MO. Our dogs are bred for working and temperment and are gorgeous to too it all off ! Our current male Sushi holds titles in water rescue, and AKC retriever and CGC titles. All of our dogs are OFA cleared, hips, elbows, cardiac, and genetic. Our program stand out from the rest because we strongly emphasize maintaining and improving the true newfoundland. This means rigerous health testing, titling dogs and showing them to be judged against the standard and their temperment. Newfoundlands should be loving, devoted, intelligent, and LOVE water work. We strive to provide all of that in one happy bundle of joy for you !What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Your patience, love, and understanding this week while we’ve navigated the whirlwind of final vet exams, microchip paperwork, spa baths, and pickup logistics have meant the absolute world to us. You all are already the most incredible puppy parents, and we couldn't have hand-picked better homes for these babies. 🐶✨ Last-Minute Tips for a Smooth, Happy Transition 🧸 Leaving the ranch and the litter is a huge milestone for your pup! Here are our favorite tips to help them settle in seamlessly: 🚗 The Journey Home: Keep the car nice and cool (Newfs run warm!). Bring a cozy crate or a trusted passenger with a slip lead and plenty of towels for the ride. If you puppy is flying to you we will need your shipment payment by Tuesday Aug 18. I will send out a shipping payment request link to those who are shipping. You will also need to be available for communication Aug 18-19 so please keep your phone close. This is the date the airline opens up and allows us to book puppy shipping flights. About Bernie
Bernie is a STUNNING show dog. He has correct confirmation and Temperment and comes from International Champion lines down both Sire and Dam. His pedigree is an absolute powerhouse. He has the sweetest temperment and gets along with everyone and anything. He loves grooming, swimming, cuddling and hanging out with us at work every day. He has such soft puppy like eyes and it's a joy to see him bouncing around the yard. He will produce gorgeous black puppies with temperment and showmanship.

Sake is the absolute sweetest dog I have ever met. She absolutely adores people and kids. She is such a good mom. She is extremely intelligent and really enjoys obedience and rally work. She will never turn down a good game of fetch. Her ideal day is playing in the woods, swimming the finishing it off with cuddles ( and yes she is a bed hog !) I just know her fun loving free spirit will pass down to her puppies. I love this girl with my whole heart, I know you will love her pups. I can guarantee they will have big hearts and a fun loving adventurous attitude.

About Sushi
Sushi-son, my heart, my love. I waited years for this sweet boy and carefully selected mom and dad to produce what I knew was going to be a champion. I was right! Sushi makes me proud every single day. He began doing water work last year and did phenomenal, he even had a real life rescue over the summer wow !!!. He loves farm life, is a king for grooming and love love loves his human and 4 legged siblings. He is the perfect gentleman l. He has received titles in obedience and in retriever/ water work. I'm really proud of this guy. And he is STUNNING just look at him I'm in love. Sushi is a massive boy her requires a livestock scale when he goes to the vet 🤣. I know he will pass down good form, big structure and heads, goofy and loving personality. I know his puppies will be of excellent working or pet stock. What are ya waiting for get you a sushi-son of your own !

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

+4We had been looking at Newfies for quite a while before we found Mallory and her farm. We knew we wanted a big, loving family dog—one that would love all of us and be part of the whole family, not just pick one person and decide that was “their person.” We kept coming back to Newfoundlands, but honestly, going all in on a Newfie felt like a big leap. Then we stumbled across Mallory. This was our first time ever working with a breeder, and we really didn’t know what to expect. From the beginning, though, the whole experience felt personal. We were completely spoiled with weekly updates, photos, and little glimpses into the puppies as they grew. Mallory really knew each puppy’s personality, and she seemed to understand our Elphie from the very beginning. She would share little things about her temperament and personality that made us feel like we were already getting to know her before we even brought her home. One of the things we loved most was where the puppies were being raised. Mallory’s farm is tucked away in the woods, with so much room for the puppies to explore, play, and experience the world around them. It never felt like she was simply raising puppies to sell. You can tell she genuinely loves Newfies and cherishes each one while they are with her. When it was finally time to pick Elphie up, the attention to detail continued. Mallory had put together a folder with everything we needed for our vet, along with information and resources about feeding, care, and raising our new puppy. For first-time Newfie owners, that made us feel so much more prepared. We went into this process nervous about whether we were making the right decision, and we came out of it feeling completely confident that we had found the right breed, the right breeder, and the right puppy for our family. And Elphie has absolutely become the family dog we were hoping for. She loves being with all of us, and we already can’t imagine our family without her.
