I'm Lori K., the breeder behind K3 Toy and Miniature Australian Shepherds located in Sanger, TX. We love matching families with their newest family member and lifelong best friend! I fell in love with the breed more than 20 years ago decided to start a breeding program to showcase everything my family and I love about this breed. We love to watch these sweet, happy, and healthy puppies mature into well rounded dogs that help other people fall in love with as much as we do!
Q. & A. with Lori
Why did you start breeding?
Around 17 years ago I got my first mini Aussie, a red merle male named Kodiak (Kodi for short). He went everywhere with me and learned new tricks so fast I ran out of ideas for tricks to teach him. After he passed away at 15, I decided I wanted to start my own breeding program to showcase the intelligence, loyalty, sociability and beauty of the breed.
What makes your program special?
I have always had a natural ability for training dogs and horses. Here at my home our puppies are more than just treated as part of our family, they ARE part of our family. Our puppies are handled and worked with from day one. With having two toddler in the home, these dogs are desensitized to pound noises and children from the start. As they get older and have time outside they get introduced to our other animals making them very well rounded family pets.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include black tri, blue merle, red merle, and red tri. Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
