I'm Justus R., the breeder behind Kaleidoscope located in Webster City, IA. Our priority is ensuring all puppies and dogs become excellent family pets. Because before anything else- all dogs are our beloved pets. To set them up for success, we follow Puppy Culture protocol and perform Volhard Temperament tests on all of our puppies prior to matching them to forever homes.

Getting a puppy from Justus

"This price includes puppy kit, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, health guarantee, AKC registration (limited unless discussed and otherwise approved), and lifetime breeder support. All deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to another litter or dog in some circumstances."

Program update on 15 Dec 2025 •…Wanting a dog but can't commit to the training and work of a young puppy? I offer additional training stays as an option- keep your puppy here for the crate training and basic manners work, save yourself the valuable time and frustration 😉 Training plans are offered as an ADD-ON to the puppy price and range from 3-8 weeks of additional one-on-one work with the puppy. Litter update on 11 Dec 2025 •The Mixed Drinks 🍹 Are almost ready to fly the nest! 🤯 Everybody got their first vaccines and microchipped this week in preparation for heading to New homes. We are getting very good at using designated potty areas and have started spending the night in crates (with a sibling buddy). Program update on 30 Nov 2025 •Winter Wonderland ❄️🌬️ Wishing everyone a Safe and Happy Holiday Season! The Mixed Drinks 🍹 Litter still has one boy looking for the best pet home 😉 They spent Thanksgiving getting cuddled and loved on by everybody at the family event. Litter update on 23 Nov 2025 •…Five weeks old and growing like WEEDS 💞 Love from the Mixed Drinks 🍹 We do have a couple puppies still available in this litter and I would LOVE to get them into homes by the holidays 😊 I am offering 10% off the total price of puppies who have deposits placed by Thanksgiving. I also have an older puppy from the Lena x Dash litter who is looking for the perfect home 💓 He is well started on crate/house/potty training and knows several basic commands and house skills. Now they have a bigger pen with more space to play, potty, and sleep 💓 As they get better with pottying in the designated space, they will get more and more play room. Litter update on 13 Nov 2025 •She loves when it is her turn to hang out with the fosters 💞 This is one of the reasons I so heavily focus on TEMPERAMENT in my dogs- even around young puppies that aren't their own they should still be safe and gentle. Having a multitude of safe adult playmates to help teach puppies the ropes is truly invaluable when raising a litter and I am so grateful for my dogs' temperaments.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
