Q. & A. with Vicky
Why did you start breeding?
We obtained our first lab (a chocolate boy we named Ky. Bourbon) in the summer of 2017. Within days we became amazed at this boys intelligence, willingness to please, and stunning good looks. We were hooked !! The desire to produce and then provide others with their own new best friend, a true companion in every sense of the word. That’s the heart of why we do what we do.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs are more than breeding stock to us, they are our family. Our dogs all share our home as members of our family. They receive the best care we can possibly give them and are included in our day to day lives. We made it our business to learn everything we could about this magnificent breed. We health test our dogs, matching quality to quality in order to provide you with the same.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Hoss, dad
Labrador Retriever
About Hoss
Hoss is a gorgeous yellow male who carry’s chocolate, is clear down the board for all adverse genetic traits and has a pedigree stocked full of CH/GCH/MBCHGCH. We are hopeful for yellow, and chocolate litters from this boy beginning 2027.
Macey, mom
Labrador Retriever
About Macey
Macey is a General X Ally daughter. She is a gorgeous golden yellow girl with a thick otter tail, broad skull and thick structure. She’s standard for height and weight and just a perfect example of the English Labrador with an excellent temperament, above average intelligence and super sweet personality.
General, dad
Labrador Retriever
About General
General is a male Labrador Retriever. Carefully selected as a great representative of his breed, Vicky decided to make him part of their program. Vicky has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.
Toby, dad
Labrador Retriever

Alley, mom
Labrador Retriever
About Alley
Alley is an amazing girl, extremely intelligent, mindful and attentive, she really is a true Labrador at heart and likes nothing better than hanging out with her people. However, she is always up for some fun and adventure, loves to travel and ready to go regardless of the destination. Her thick black shiny coat is beautiful with a slight wave down her back. Not surprising, both of her sons, also with thick black coats seem to have a slight wave in their back coats. She comes from exceptional lineage with multiple CH. in her pedigree, and it shows in both her looks and how she carry’s herself. This girl is also a tri coat, meaning she carry’s both the yellow and chocolate genes. She is truly an amazing girl, not overly large and at 76 lbs. with a thick head, muzzle, and the thickest of otter tails she falls perfectly within the description of the breed standard. Her offspring should be truly amazing.
Kamalot Kennels reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Labrador Retrievers.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

I discovered Vicky on Facebook and as I was looking though her photos, I saw my little Pip- Vicky was so responsive to all my questions and stay in touch throughout the entire process. Such an incredible breeder.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
