I'm Sarah J., the breeder behind Kandyland Kennels located in Hoagland, IN. We are a small family-run kennel. All of our poodles are raised in our home and right by our side & not left in a metal box nor are they in a separate facility. All dogs are health & genetic tested & AKC registered. Pups get docked tails, dew claws removed, shot records w/dewormings.
Q. & A. with Sarah
Why did you start breeding?
My son and husband were looking for an emotional support animal and while researching, came across poodles as one of the most highly recommended breeds of dog. After they fell in love with their minature and toy poodle our whole family did. Breeding these little bundles of joy has truly brought our family together.
What makes your program special?
Something Kandyland Kennels offers that many others don't is accountability and trust. Like any other breeders we've had our learning curves and difficulties, but through that we've become a stronger kennel. Unlike most, we're a fully family run business. With 4 kids in the house, our puppies are definitely getting the play time and attention they need.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include toy and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include apricot, black, brown, cream, red, silver, parti, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Sarah from Kandyland Kennels was amazing to work with. She quickly and efficiently answered all our questions before and after our adoption process. She sent us home with a “doggy bag” full of food, toys, and necessities, along with an informational binder to help the transition go smooth. I can’t say enough positive things about our perfect little fur baby. We are over the moon happy with our pup, and the whole process was wonderful.
