I'm Cathy W., the breeder behind Kani Miniature Schnauzers located in Mardela Springs, MD. Pups are whelped in my bedroom, at 4 weeks move to the kitchen. Sire & Dam are AKC champions. Pups are sold as pets. I have been showing Mini Sch since 1980 and at this time limit my breeding to once a year. I start fun training as soon as they are stable on their feet.
Q. & A. with Cathy
Why did you start breeding?
Love for reproducing my breed to the best of the Akc standard and producing my next champion. And having a nice enough litter that’s helps me financially to show my pup to its Akc championship. Then we do it again!
What makes your program special?
I keep my pups as well as my dogs in a very clean environment. They are introduced to baths, nail trimming and socialization. They are also introduced to training thru fun!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include salt and pepper and black and silver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
