I'm Daniel K., the breeder behind NorCalGoldens located in Citrus Heights, CA. We are a family-run breeding program offering loving and loyal companions to others. We focus on 1. Breeding Goldens based on preselected calm temperaments. 2. All health and genetic clearances 3. Beautiful white coats, often referred to as "English Cream". Each puppy is raised with lots of love.

I enjoy dogs and puppies. Our kids also love dogs and puppies. They are truly great companions.What makes your program special?

All health and genetic clearances(OFA hips, elbows, eyes, cardiac. 3. Beautiful white coats, often referred to as "English Cream". 4. Each puppy goes through ENS & Early Socialization training and each puppy is raised with lots of love.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

"Each puppy comes with AKC paperwork, pedigree certificate, 1st shots, dewormer, and certified vet health check. A deposit contract will be filled out for both buyer and seller. A deposit reserves a specific puppy."

Litter update on 18 Dec 2025 •Vet trip today: First car ride. The litter had lots of fun and did great today.

Litter update on 16 Dec 2025 •…7 week update: Our puppies upgraded to larger collars. They are behaving like real puppies. Only thing left is for them is to gain some weight, get vaccines and get ready for new homes next week. Will send another update on Thursday(12/18) on how their first trip to the vet goes.

Litter update on 09 Dec 2025 •…Week 6 update: Puppies have officially transitioned to hard puppy food and started weaning off moms milk. They are showing more interest in spending more outside time. Continuing to introduce them to new sounds.

Litter update on 03 Dec 2025 •…Week 5 puppy update: Lots more energy, still lots of sleep, but more energy. Next week is starting dry puppy food and more outside time outside the whelping pen. (Adding another video to update)

Litter update on 25 Nov 2025 •…Week 4 update: Puppies are starting to sleep less and play more. Hints of personalities are starting to show. Many of getting the hang of potty training in pellet litter box, but some puppies still learning.

Litter update on 18 Nov 2025 •…Week 3 update. Lots and lots of developments happening. The puppies ears opened, they are walking. Recently heard a bark and puppies starting to play with each other. Due to size of litter we stated puppy mush a little earlier. Today was day one.

About Sugar
Sugar is an amazing dog. We had her since she was a little puppy. She loves playing with kids especially if it has to do with water. She enjoys walks. She is gentle with adults, kids and puppies. She has champion bloodlines. All OFA certifications, elbows, hips(excellent - highest rating available), eyes, cardiac exam. Clear of every single genetic disease and DNA tested. She is very spoiled and taken care of.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Ichthyosis, Golden Retriever Type
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

+6Getting a puppy through Daniel was such a great experience. We were incredibly impressed with the description and level of care of his dog, Sugar, and the male dog they chose, Theo. Both listed as very healthy and champion blood lines! We did not get to meet any of the puppies in person before picking, so we relied heavily on Daniel to describe the puppies. Daniel did an amazing job with that, and we knew which puppy we wanted to pick based off his description and the pictures/videos. It was so easy and smooth. I loved how the whole family loved on and held the puppies, as I feel like our puppy is so loving and loves to be held and kissed. He is happy and in such a good mood to learn, he already learned to sit and potty training is going smoothly.
