I'm Kathy J., the breeder behind Karemy Kennels (Karemy Labradors) located in Siloam Springs, AR. We are proud of the support we give our buyers and of our commitment to continue to research and enhance the breed standard. Our breeding program started with one small litter that turned into a fulfilling, lifelong passion! We believe there’s no greater joy than providing families with companions that share unconditional love no matter what.
Q. & A. with Kathy
Why did you start breeding?
I brought Abby our foundation dog home we had so much fun training, competing in IABCA shows, hunt tests and Therapy Dog International volunteering with her! She was a fantastic family dog and I spent more hours with her than any dog since. When it was time, I bred her to a proven stud who was a Jr hunter and Canadian show champion. From that litter, we kept Daisy and then the following Christmas Jeremy purchased a fox red puppy named Rosie from my friend and mentor Bob Morris of Cougar Mountain Labradors.
What makes your program special?
My moto is "It's a family thing because at Karemy we care!" I maintain a private Facebook group of hundreds of my puppy's families over the 25 years of working with Labrador Retrievers. We host a yearly family reunion & calendar contest each fall. I try to stay in touch with as many families as possible and encourage all prospective families to make a visit to our home to meet us and our dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
