I'm Dannon S., the breeder behind Kaslynkay's Collies located in Lancaster, CA. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament. Our focus is on structure and intelligence. With more than 20 years of experience and the help of long-time collie breeders and mentors, we continue to improve with each new generation. Our Collies do everything from herding to service work and more.

Why did you start breeding?
With the help and guidance from my mentors, several respectable Collie breeders with more than 60 years of experience. They guided me in the proper direction. Like selecting the right stud dogs and doing the proper testing to prevent or eliminate hereditary diseases. They taught me so much. I breed when I am looking to keep something for myself. I make an effort to better the Collie breed.What makes your program special?
Unlike those out to breed for a profit, I breed to better the Collie breed as a whole. My goal is to develop a line of Collies that are not only beautiful but are functional. I strive to eliminate the incidence of disease in the breed. We also are proud to say we have produced several service and therapy dogs in our effort to better the Collie. We breed both rough and smooth Collies.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and rough coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, sable merle, black white and tan, blue merle, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

This beautiful girl is living with her forever home. This whole litter was breathtaking but I can't keep them all. This young girl has not been shown. I did retain one breeding to this female. So once I decide who I want to breed her to i will retain one from this girl.

This guy is one of a kind however I cannot keep them all. So this young man is absolutely loving life in his forever home. It broke my heart to place him but I can only keep so many males. So I did have this dog collected in order to use him down the line.

Leia is a beautiful conformation champion. She is gentle friendly and outgoing and has a wonderful temperament. She loves to cuddle. Leia finished her Championship very quickly. She is from a very consistent litter. Three of the four dogs are already finished and the fourth is pointed and just now getting out. She has an excellent DNA profile. Her OFA results are currently pending.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Dannon was wonderful to communicate with and made the process very easy. She matched the personal of the puppy to what I was hoping for perfectly. I named him Lachlan, and he has been absolutely perfect. He has been so healthy, and I love how up-front and how much information Dannon had for me about his his health and testing. If I ever decide to add to the family I’ll get in contact with her again!
