Meet the breeder

I'm Kathy W., the breeder behind Kathy's K9 Cuties located in Hillsdale, MI. Our adult dogs are embark or AKC DNA tested for genetic health issues prior to breeding. This is to insure we are bringing the best Dam and Sire together. My puppies come vet checked, first set of vaccines (completed by my Vet), micro-chipped (AKC reunite chip), dewclaws removed and dewormed.

Q. & A. with Kathy

  • Why did you start breeding?

I've been involved with breeding since 2000. I got involved because of my love for animals and the medical field. Over the years, I have come to understand that, though there are no ideal lines, there are things breeders must know and do to breed quality puppies. Breeders should work to improve the health and well-being of the breed of interest.
  • What makes your program special?

Our breeding program is a special family endeavor. I really try to do homework when it comes to our dogs. We insure they are well cared for and in a clean environment. We follow all vet recommendations for the best care. I have learned much through the years, both having mentors and being a mentor.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
