I'm Kayla J., the breeder behind Kayla Jamerson located in Bremerton, WA. Family-raised Miniature Dachshunds in Washington. We focus on healthy, well-socialized puppies with wonderful temperaments, raised in our home with love and enrichment. Our goal is to provide each puppy with the best start and a lifetime of happiness.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My journey into breeding began this year after I brought home a male and female Miniature Dachshunds to keep my original male company. I am in love with the breed's playful personalities, loyalty, and affectionate nature. That inspired me to pursue responsible breeding with the goal of raising happy, healthy, well-socialized puppies that become cherished members of their families.

  • What makes your program special?

    My dogs are first and foremost beloved family pets. Every puppy is raised in our home with daily love, socialization, and enrichment. I prioritize health, temperament, and lifelong support to help each puppy thrive in their new family. If any family is unable to care for their puppy they get from me I will happily take them back.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black and tan and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Kayla

Kayla has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $400 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This price includes: Veterinary health exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming record, health guarantee, puppy contract, food sample, blanket or toy with litter scent and our lifetime support. Deposits are the same for every puppy, regardless of color, markings, coat type, or sex. Once a deposit is received, that puppy is considered reserved and goes toward the total purchase price.”

Contract & health guarantee

Kayla may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA), Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
