We lost our sweet fur baby Lily earlier this year to cancer. She collapsed in our back yard on a Tuesday—she had just chased a squirrel out of my garden, like she did every day! I rushed Lily to the vet—tumor on her heart. That Saturday, the tumor ruptured and Lily was gone. We were devastated. Lily was an amazing creature, an Australian Shepherd, that God blessed us with and were really missing our fur-girl. We decided to get a puppy. Not to replace our beautiful Lily, as it would be impossible to replace her, but to help ease the pain from our devastating loss. I saw a picture of our Hope (Hopie) on Gooddog.com and instantly fell in love with her. It was not hard to convince my family that she was the puppy we needed. So I contacted Jacalyn through gooddog.com. Jacalyn was amazing in answering my questions in a timely manner, and always positive in her answers. She sent pictures and video of Hopie so we could get to know our future fur-baby. Then she asked if we knew of anyone who may like to have Dottie (Hope’s sister). One of my grievances with getting Lily was that she never saw any of her eight siblings again. Well, that definitely set the wheels in motion. My daughter had been looking for a puppy, but she didn’t think her family was quite ready as she is pregnant with her second child. Training a puppy now would be difficult for working parents with two small children. But when my daughter saw Dottie, she fell in love with her. Jacalyn worked with us to get the dogs flown to us through a dog nanny service. The service worked well for our family! And we received our puppies just four days ago. The puppies are very well socialized. Jacalyn and her children (thank you to your children, Jacalyn, for their work in playing with our puppies. I know they must miss them very much. We truly appreciate all the time they vested in our fur babies). Hopie and Dottie have already learned to sit on command (day 1). They are working on “come” and “stay”. They already sleep 6+ hours at night (we let them dictate when it is time to get up). These are really delightful puppies. So different in their personalities, but play so well together—all due to great “parenting” from birth! Dottie will be heading to her forever home this week, but the cool thing is that she will be back at our house every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday for puppy daycare (the days I get to have my granddaughter for the day)! The puppies are great with my granddaughter—gentle. These fur babies already understand puppy kisses only when around our granddaughter (they are only 11 weeks old), though they do get excited and forget around the rest of us! We have a long way to go in training, but already see the possibilities! Thanks again, Jacalyn! We are smitten for sure!

Jacalyn was so amazing to work with! She met with us and picking up the puppy was more than smooth. She had a whole care package of stuff for him so he would be comfortable going to a new home. I don’t think she responded later than 5 minutes after I sent a message! We inquired a week before we took him home and she sent us pictures of him during the week to give us updates which I thought was super thoughtful. Her puppies are definitely well loved and I would and will absolutely be using them again. Thanks for making our experience memorable!!😁
