The Day I Met River I wasn’t looking for just any puppy. I wanted the right puppy, the one who would fit into my life, keep up with my love of the outdoors, and become my next adventure buddy. And somehow, that search led me to Good Dog and, ultimately, to Jacalyn. From the beginning, working with Jacalyn felt different. She took the time to answer my questions, share information, and help me navigate the process of finding the right puppy. There was never a feeling that I was simply picking a puppy from a picture. It felt like she genuinely cared about where her puppies were going and who they were going home with. And then I saw him. River. Those blue eyes stopped me in my tracks. There was something about him that I couldn't quite explain. Maybe it was his eyes. Maybe it was his little face. Maybe it was the feeling that somehow, this tiny puppy was supposed to be mine. I had looked at plenty of puppies before him, but there was an immediate connection with River. When I finally met him, everything just clicked. I remember holding him and thinking, This is my puppy. It wasn't complicated. It wasn't something I had to think about. I just knew. And somehow, the name River felt perfect. A river is wild and free. It winds its own way, changes with the seasons, and is always moving toward its next adventure. I have a feeling my River will be exactly the same. Of course, bringing home a puppy means knowing there will be muddy paws, puppy teeth, sleepless nights, chewed shoes, and more hair than I ever imagined possible. But it also means gaining a little shadow. A hiking buddy. A passenger for every road trip. A camping companion. A reason to get outside. And a best friend who will be there through all of life's adventures. Looking back, I'm so grateful that my search led me to Good Dog and to Jacalyn. Finding River wasn't just about finding a puppy. It was about finding the beginning of something I know will become a very special part of my life. I don't know where River and I will go. I don't know how many trails we'll explore, mountains we'll see, or muddy paws he'll bring home. But I know we'll have one heck of an adventure. Because sometimes you don't choose your dog. Sometimes, they find you. And somehow, River found me.

We had an amazing experience with these breeders! They were always very friendly, kept in touch throughout the entire process, and provided regular updates and photos of our Corgi.
